Thank you:
Solera García family for believing in this Project and for helping us save the animals that nobody gives a second chance too. “Giving the hungry my leftovers, is a good deed, taking the bread from my own lips to do so… is generosity”. Thank you for sharing what at times you don’t even have yourselves. And for the extremely dignified example you are posing to those that surround you, especially your daughters that for the good of these animals founded the association and shelter CYD Santa María. Let’s hope that many others are inspired by your example.

Family of Hazel and Ron Pettit for their admirable behaviour with the rescued animals at the Centro CYD Santa María, for organizing events to raise funds and for never failing us, even in the most difficult of situations.
The Mijas La-Cala Lions for helping those that need it most, their ongoing support of seemingly impossible causes and for believing in this project. Also for the donation of a roof to provide shade for the animals, a vehicle for emergencies and sporadic donations with which we’ve been able to pay various debts to feed companies and the electricity at the shelter for one year.

Clínica Veterinaria Miramar and Juan de Dios Sánchez Del Corral for his excellent work as an equine odontologist and for spreading the word as to this speciality, that’s necessary to alleviate the pain that many animals suffer and improve their quality of life.

Juan Garrido is the person that often helps us transfer horses to the recovery centre. We have been able to rely on him in emergencies, moments when his life has been in serious danger. Horses that have been victims of ill treatment can be very violent. With him we have got through the most complicated of situations. He drives like a dream and transmits his tranquillity to the animals, which arrive at the shelter calm and secure.
Kamy for always helping us resolve any situation, for giving us great new ideas and for the marvellous job done –in his spare time- constructing this web page for free.
www.globalvirtual.es? PON LO QUE QUIERAS OBVIAMENTE.
Lucy Spence and family for their energy, their love of animals and for helping us with the complicated job of translating this web page into English. Also for always offering to do the most unpleasant jobs i.e. follow up and vigilance work or gathering of evidence of possible cases of ill treatment of animals.
Media that have shown an interest in this project and have spread the word.
Miguel Ángel for doing the lay out for the association and shelter’s pamphlets, for helping us, at any time, day or night and for always supporting us, even with lost causes.
Oficina Comarcal Agraria de la Comarca del Guadalhorce for their help and the good job they are carrying out so as to guarantee that animals basic rights are respected.
Organisation Gewoon-Doen.Nu (Just Do It Now) and Bennie van Lith and family for their ongoing work to spread the word on the Asociación CYD Santa María’s project in Holland. Since Bennie met us a couple of years ago, thanks to Leo, his present day wife and good friend of ours, his organization has helped us pay five feed bills, through our: Clean Hands System, all through providers. He has also set up various activities to help ill treated and or abandoned horses that are at our shelter. He fought to obtain a mobile house that at present means we have the support of free voluntary workers, solely in exchange for accommodation. Also his family donate aloe vera products that are very beneficial for our animals. Bennie is a very busy business man that has decided to dedicate a part of his life to help others.
SPONSORS, WE’RE SPEECHLESS. WITHOUT YOU, FRIENDS, QUITE SIMPLY NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE.
Policía Municipal de Alhaurín el Grande.
Prisca and Salvador Sánchez for being supportive people. Salvador always lends us his very valuable sound system for conferences and chats, depositing all his trust in us. Prisca we thank for that special feeling she has for horses, that makes them feel happy and secure. Thank you for sharing that ability with us. Please never leave us.
Rufino García López. It’s obvious that the people that set out on this project know nothing about maths! Rufino, is our eyes, hands and intelligence at Cajamar, it is him who supervises the association’s account and informs us when we’re getting into debt.
SEPRONA del Parque Nacional de Doñana.
Tobelem, thanks to the discount the people responsible for this firm made us when purchasing a Mobile house and the fact that they donated another smaller one we’ve been able to care for our animals 24 hours a day. And what’s more their coats are dry!
Some of the Centro Shelter CYD Santa María’s volunteer workers (in alphabetical order): Amanda, Anne, Belén, Celina, Dany, Estefanía, Gillian, Hazel, Jayde, Laura, Laura, Mónica, Montse, Pepe, Prisca and Tatiana. The work that you do at our centre and the love that you give these animals is priceless.
Volunteer workers that send us materials from all over Spain. Thanks to you we no longer have to pay endless bills for products that as you know, are necessary to heal the horse’s wounds.
To those that don’t want to be mentioned and help anonymously. Thank you for caring for our shelter’s animals and for helping us to try and save those that are still out there.
To those that due to their negligence, hypocrisy or pure evil have harmed this association. Because thanks to them we have learnt, grown and finally we have consolidated for the good of all those animals that we have helped over the last few years and those that if God willing we will continue to rescue and protect in the future.
Many thanks to Phil from La Chipsa Magazine who organized a Garden eco day (14th September 2008) at the Centre, lots of people turned up to help and the day went well. www.lachispa.net
We would like to thank Inland Magazine for publishing the article and ads for us. www.inlandmagazine.com

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
