WHAT WE ARE ASKING YOU TO DO IF YOU SEE DEAD DYING OR INJURED ANIMAL'S IS TO REPORT IT YOURSELVES.  THIS IS HOW YOU GO ABOUT DOING IT, GO TO THE LOCAL TOWN HALL AND DO THE FOLLOWING.

1)      Take pictures of the animals.

2)      Do a report as to why you think the Town Hall should go and check on the animals, is it fenced

         do they have water, shelter, etc

3)      A map or directions where the animals is.

4)      Make sure what you take to the Town Hall is stamped by them and you get a number and you

         have a copy.

5)      It would be good if you have a vet check the animals out first, and tell the Town Hall the name of

         the vet that went to look at the animals.( may cost  you around 60/100€)

6)      By doing this your name is not given out to anyone or to the people that you are reporting.

This is the first step in helping the animals.

The Association CYD Santa María for the defence of animals, with CIF number  G-92.703.669, is a charitable entity, totally independent of other organizations, associations or institutions public and / or private and it’s motto is:

“SO THAT ONE DAY WHAT WILL SEEM STRANGE WILL BE TO NOT REPORT CRUELTY”

 

My name is Concordia Marquez and l set the association up 6 years ago, it is my dream that one day we will stop cruelty to all animals which l know will never happen but if l can save some animals and take to court the people that cause  them pain its all worth it. It takes months to take someone to court plus weeks of research. My husband Daniel Galindo who is a lawyer gives his time for free (boy he spends hours doing this work for the centre) and when we win its gives us great satisfaction.  Virginia Solera (Viki) my sister she is my right hand always there when l need her, she really is a rock in more ways than one for me. If we have a sick horse and we are up all night Viki is here by my side, a bit like when we were kids staying up talking but this time helping me.

CYD are like the R.S.P.C.A because we do take the people to court for cruelty if we catch them.  This all takes money which is why we need donations great or small, what ever you can give we are grateful.
